Mladen is an actor, director, writer and producer with twenty five years of acting experience, dozens of TV and film credits from both Canada and Europe, countless theatre projects under his belt and a strong following within his Montenegrin/Serbian community in Toronto. After finishing his undergraduate studies in acting in Belgrade, Serbia, he obtained his MFA in Acting title at Toronto’s York University. He founded Pulse Theatre, a company that offers workshops and drama classes for children, but also produces theatre shows, with a mandate of focusing on immigrant/audible minority performers and creating shows that are tackling relevant social issues. Pulse Theatre’s biggest success so far was 2019’s „The Woods are Dark and Deep “, which Mladen wrote, produced and performed in. It is a story of Serbian and Ukrainian immigrants in Canadian internment camps during WWI. The story is a product of extensive research and although its characters are not based on real people (the data is just too scarce to unveil complete stories), the story is based on historical data and the events mentioned have actually happened. In 2024, Mladen completed his MA in Education, at Niagara University, USA. Member of ACTRA.
